The 9th Annual Scottish Gin Awards Officially Launches for 2025
The 2025 Scottish Gin Awards have officially launched, unveiling this year’s hotly anticipated categories and opening its doors to entries from Scotland’s leading gin producers.
Now in its 9th year, the Scottish Gin Awards continues to champion excellence in gin distilling and business innovation, offering a platform to celebrate the people and products behind Scotland’s globally recognised gin industry.
With a full programme of key dates and 15 prestigious categories, the competition culminates in the biggest celebration of the year for Scottish gin – a glittering awards ceremony in October, following the 3rd annual Scottish Distillers Conference.
Independent sensory experts are once again preparing to assess more than 1,500 samples from around 250 gins under strict conditions in a single tasting day. The results, verified through a rigorous data audit, will identify the top three gins in each category, with winners revealed exclusively at the awards ceremony.
Around 20 gin experts will participate in this year’s blind tasting panel, delivering decisions across 11 distinct flavour and style categories, including London Dry, Distilled, Flavoured, and Pink Gin. As always, the final results remain under wraps until the big reveal in October.
